This painting depicts a sunset at the banks of river Yamuna .May be in Agra, as we can see the Taj Mahal in background....my assumption, only! Lala did not supply any information on this...this could be Delhi, too--as the river flows through the city and Delhi has many Mughal Era monuments similer to these burjs that we see in the background.
The lovely sunset and the boat are not limited to the geography ..so, go on, and enjoy....
Another colorful one. I'd be so interested to know how he developed his technique. What i like about this is the abstract nature of this. In trying to find my own style which I haven't yet, I wouldn't have thought to do a painting this way and yet this works really great. He is really good and his art is very interesting. The colors are always so "happy" in his paintings.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look back and see if you mentioned when he started painting. I would so enjoy getting to go in that room of his and looking through all his paintings.
But the great thing is, you'll put them up here.
Wonderful Arti. Thanks for sharing Lala's work.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy...Lala uses anything he can get his hands on! Mostly I supply him with sketchpens, color pencils, poster colors etc..he uses them all in his paintings..To think of it, nobody outside the family has seen his art!So its a great achievement to keep oneself motivated enough throughout these years....
ReplyDeleteThank you Gary, I hope you enjoyed your visit here...
ReplyDeleteHe's really captured the glow of sunset and beautiful reflections in the water.
ReplyDeleteIt's a tremendous achievement to stay motivated to keep painting. A sign of a true artist that he creates whether anyone's looking or not :-)
Thank you Liz..even I find it difficult to keep up the momentum if nobody is there to see and appreciate my work...but he has been doing it for years!
ReplyDeleteWonderful artwork, I really enjoyed my visit on your blog here. The paintings do have stories and that I enjoy very much.
ReplyDeleteHappy Painting.
